The 2011 AGM was held at the Worcester Canoe Club on Saturday 5th November. The event turned out to be as pleasant as ever and we are most thankful to the WCC for their hospitality at the clubhouse on the banks of the River Severn. Before the meeting ‘proper’, we were shown an extensive collection of canoeing images dating from the turn of the 19th century and 2 members brought their beautifully restored boats for us to see. After our business was done, it was off to town for a meal and then treated to a civic bonfire and fireworks at the racecourse nearby. - A thoughtful gesture to the HCKA. |
